Twitter is the newest form of online communication. It is considered a microblogging platform. You can only tweet 140 characters at a time, sending them out to people that follow you, called followers.

You also can follow people and read their tweets. But it isn’t just about tweeting and reading other people’s tweets, you also have to interact with them in order to get the true value of twitter.

I’ll write more about it later. For now, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

I Blog, You Blog, We All Blog.

There are thousands of blogs out there on any number of topics and even topics you wouldn’t expect to find online. I can’t believe I said that last sentence. Am I naive to think that there is still one topic that has not been covered in a forum, blogged about or even have a website on, online? Silly.

But really, who has time to read all these blogs? Blogs about the same things. You have the mommy bloggers, the art bloggers, the why I love cafes bloggers, the political blogs, the vegetarian blogs etc … So I ask you – who really has time to read all these blogs.

Are we just blogging into the vastness of the world wide web, hoping that someone stumbles upon our meager writings to leave a comment?

Talk to My Face

The world has gotten stranger by the decade. As a mere observer of change, I am not convinced that the technology that has allowed to make our lives easier to facilitate communication on a mass global scale is creating an added value to communication.

Naturally, I’ve embraced communication technologies and I’ve allowed it to seamlessly fit into my daily life. What I have noticed is my adaptation in how I choose to communicate to others through the years. It has thus been my growing concern that if I’ve evolved along with these communicative devices, then so has everyone else. Society and countries as a whole have changed their internal and external communication modes, practices and behaviours.

I wonder what communication will be like in the future.
